It rained in torrents all night and the noise on the roof of the MH kept me awake most of the night. When we looked out the windows this morning we were surrounded by deep puddles.
I took Jewel out for a walk and the stream along the dog walking path was running like the Colorado River after a huge snow melt. No wonder this place was under water in 2010. There doesn’t seem to be anywhere for the water to drain.
We made our calls to our Moms for Mother’s Day and Tom and Kelly called to wish me the same. Today is also Megan’s 19th birthday. WHOA, we are getting really old.
The rain never let up so we canned out plans to tour anything requiring us to be outdoors for any length of time. However, we did trek out to Home Depot to get replacement blubs for our bedroom lights. YIKES – two bulbs at $10.00 each.
Ron had a desire for ice cream so we went to B&R and enjoyed some much desired ice cream. YIKES $6.00 for a sundae!
No pictures today – no real inspiration – just rain.
Tomorrow we begin our trip along the Natchez Trace Trail. Not sure if we will have internet connection but if we do will keep posting.
