Since we are on the last leg of our journey we planned to make a stop in Washington, DC and stay at the Greenbelt CG. I checked on line and to our surprise they were full for the weekend. I checked out another CG a little further out and they were also full. I guess there is a Girl Scout Jamboree in the area going on. Sooo- we scratched that idea.
Next we thought about heading to the Shenandoah National Park. HMMMM- it’s a National Park free day! We have run into this in our past travels across the country and know that the National Parks are overcrowded and difficult to get into for camping sites. Since those two options were decided for us we opted to stay another night at Small Country.
Our day was pretty uneventful. Three walks for us and Jewel. Catching up on the blog and Ron learning some new functions on his camera.

Take my picture –please. The camera is suppose to take your picture automatically when you smile – doesn’t always work.
OK- OK! I’ll smile for the camera – now go away!
We did some research and thought about going to Philadelphia. I checked on line and the tours of Independence Hall are all booked up for several days. We are not accustomed to traveling on the East coast this time of year and keep forgetting that it is the season for tourists. Maybe we won’t being doing that either.
New York City is on the agenda – but we’ll have to wait and see. I think the plan will be to try the Shenandoah National Park on Sunday and then decide from there.
