Day (44) Drive to Liberty Harbor RV Park, Jersey City, New Jersey

We were fortunate to secure a spot at Liberty Harbor RV Park  in Jersey City, NJ. Yes, there is a CG in Jersey City!! It is a parking lot

with spaces with water and electric hook-ups and is located within the Marina.  The rates are a little high at $75.00 per night but it is right across the Hudson from Battery Park and a short Water Taxi ride.

We booked four nights and secured 5:30 pm tickets to the 9-11 Memorial on Friday the 15th. We also made plans to meet Ron’s sister Linda and husband John at the memorial.  What a coincidence that we would all be there at the same time.

The drive to Jersey City was quite uneventful until we got close to the exit that would take us to Marin Road. I had written instructions but we still ended up wandering around narrow streets trying to get to the RV and Marina. Both the Tom-Tom and DeLorme were going crazy trying to get us there but Ron’s good sense of direction and memory won out. My total lack of ability to read a map was a bust.

Once settled in we decided to chill for the rest of the day and plan our visit in  NYC. The weather was beautiful and we hunted down a spot to take Jewel for several walks – that made the little girl happy.

Since there was no grass for Jewel we went on a grass hunt and found some along the river.

Ron and I planned out the next three days – at least tentatively. We will be meeting Linda and John at the 9-11 Memorial and going out to dinner later on Friday.

We thought we should take the PATH into the city but decided to wait until Friday to start touring . Looking forward to our visit.
